Beady-Eyed Cable Socks
This is one of my favorite uses of beads. Nestled inside cables, the beads peek out only from certain vantage points. Although the wool is superwash, I’d recommend hand washing these socks to maintain the luster of the beads.
Beads look great with variegated sock yarn! This swatch is knitted in Classic Elite Alpaca Sox (alpaca/merino wool/nylon), color 1871 Candy Hearts, with 6° seed beads alternating pink and blue.
Preparing the Yarn
• Using a big eye beading needle, string 120 beads onto each skein of yarn.
